Zendaya stuns on the cover of the latest issue of ‘Elle’ magazine, and in it she opens up about several things — including her relationship with former(?) stylist Law Roach.

Specifically, she weighs-in on his relationship as her ‘creative director’ after seemingly retiring as a stylist.

After working together for years, Roach announced his early retirement in March, blaming it on “politics” and “lies.” After the shocking announcement, a video of Law searching for his seat next to Zendaya at the Louis Vuitton show during Paris Fashion Week went viral on TikTok, with fans worried that their collaborative relationship and friendship was over.

On Wednesday, the “Challengers” actress cleared up the rumors for the first time, backing up Roach’s story about arriving late to the runway show to find that his seat next to her was missing.

“When it happened, I said, ‘Oh no, I hope people don’t try to create something from this,’” Zendaya, 26, recalled. The Disney alum explained that as they rushed to the front row they had trouble finding Law’s assigned seat.

“We’re so used to sitting together that he didn’t know where to go,” Zendaya explained. “But obviously, people want to assume the worst of the situation, which is not always easy to deal with and hurtful.”

“I ride super hard for my team, especially for people I love,” the Emmy winner insisted.

“[Roach is] involved in every fashion contract, everything I do. If I have an opportunity where he can come with me, he’s always going to be there. He’s always been my creative director in a sense, and he continues to fill that role, because it’s more than just clothes on a red carpet. It’s a bigger thing,” she said

“Our relationship is like family, so I don’t think I’m going anywhere—and even if I wanted to, she wouldn’t let me,” Roach, 45, told the magazine, calling Zendaya “such a big superstar” and one of his “biggest supporters.”

The self-titled former Image Architect, who has also previously worked with Priyanka Chopra, Kerry Washington, Celine Dion, Ariana Grande and more, has had a super-close bond with the “Spider-Man” star since she was 14 years old. He is no longer styling other celeb clients as he moves into a new phase of his career.

In March, Roach cleared up the mishap in his own words, saying, “That became really tough, because it made people think that Zendaya wasn’t taking care of me and wasn’t making sure I was taken care of.”

We’re glad they still have a good working relationship.
