Donald Trump took to Twitter to announce plans to reverse a policy from President Barack Obama’s term that would have allowed transgender individuals to openly serve in the military starting this month.

“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow……….Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming………victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you,” Trump wrote in the tweets.

There are more than 15,000 transgender people serving in the U.S. military now, according to an estimate from the Williams Institute. Donald made no mention of what will happen to those currently serving.

We can only wonder what Caitlyn Jenner has to say for herself now that the man she thought would be ‘good for trans people’ is openly and brazenly discriminating against them. Update: Now we know.
