Meet professional soccer star Juan Pablo Galavis. He’s being billed as The Bachelor‘s first non-caucasian bachelor.
He looks pretty white to us.
Galavis, who just turned 32 Monday, was actually born in Ithaca, New York, before moving to Venezuela as a toddler. He came back to the States for college, and played soccer at Roberts Wesleyan before going pro.
These days, the international athlete calls Miami home, where he’s focused on becoming a respected sports and music agent and being a devoted dad to his four-year-old daughter, Camila.
In his defense, he’s Venezuelan. However, ABC parading around this new ‘non-caucasian’ bachelor as if he’s any different visually from what viewers have been seeing for the past 18 seasons is a bit of a cop-out, if you ask us. He’s definitely hot though….
