Another day, another contentious Raven-Symoné remark.
Since joining The View as a permanent co-host last month – and well before then, to be honest – Raven has used her celebrity to express her widely unpopular views.
She rejects being labelled “African-American” or “gay”; she doesn’t think Harriet Tubman should replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill; she defended the Univision host fired for making offensive remarks about First Lady Michelle Obama; and she continues to seemingly defend Bill Cosby against countless rape allegations.
On Monday’s episode of The View, Raven expressed yet another controversial opinion: that “Black Lives Matter” should be “All Lives Matter.”
“I understand what the ‘Black Lives Matter’ hashtag means. It came in conjunction with everything that was going on with the police in Ferguson. You have to be sensitive in that statement, but he [Democratic presidential hopeful Martin O’Malley] is right: All lives matter. I think you have to open yourself up. It should be ‘All Lives Matter.'”
Raven, Raven, Raven.
New View co-host Michelle Collins disagreed with Raven, but the now-axed Nicole Wallace backed Raven, and of course the former Cosby Show actress stood her ground.
